President Tinubu Set to Build Fashion Hub in Benue

President Bola Tinubu has announced plans to establish a world-class fashion hub in Makurdi, Benue State.

The project, set to be completed within the next 90 days, aims to provide a state-of-the-art facility for local designers and entrepreneurs to showcase their talents and grow their businesses.

Vice President Kashim Shettima unveiled the plan at the inauguration of the Expanded National Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Clinics in Makurdi, tagged “Benue Open for Business.”

The fashion hub will be equipped with cutting-edge technology and resources, enabling local designers to produce high-quality garments and compete in the global market.

“This hub will be a game-changer for the Nigerian fashion industry, providing a platform for our talented designers to showcase their creativity and innovation,” said President Tinubu. “We are committed to fostering a thriving fashion ecosystem that will contribute to the growth of our economy and create jobs for our youth.”

The fashion hub is part of President Tinubu’s broader vision to support the growth of the MSME sector in Nigeria.

The MSME Clinics, launched in 2020, have been instrumental in providing business support services, training, and access to finance for small and medium-sized enterprises across the country.

The fashion hub in Benue is expected to attract local and international investment, with several leading fashion brands already expressing interest in partnering with the facility.

The project is also set to create numerous job opportunities for the local community, with a focus on empowering women and youth.
