President Tinubu Reappoints Dr. Bayero as NITT DG for Second Term

President Bola Tinubu has approved the reappointment of Dr. Bayero Farah as the Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology (NITT) in Zaria for a second term of four years.

This decision was communicated through a letter signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume.

Dr. Bayero Farah has an impressive track record of sterling, exceptional performance, which has led to the massive and unprecedented transformation of NITT, unrivaled since its inception in 1986.

He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Huddersfield, United Kingdom, and joined the services of NITT in 1994 as a Senior Staff Development Officer.

The reappointment of Dr. Bayero Farah is in accordance with the provisions of the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology Act, 1986 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria.

The reappointment will take effect from January 13, 2024.

This development has been met with positive reactions from various stakeholders, as it is seen as a recognition of Dr. Bayero Farah's exceptional performance and a step towards further development of the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology.
