Political Stalwarts Realign in Port Harcourt, Rally Behind Fubara and Tinubu

Prominent members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) who previously supported former presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, have regrouped in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The group, led by former Minister of Transportation, Dr. Abiye Sekibo, declared their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Siminilayi Fubara.

During a gathering of the political stalwarts, Dr. Sekibo emphasized the party’s and the people of Rivers State’s unwavering support for Governor Fubara.

He also addressed the ongoing collaboration between the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, and President Tinubu, stating that while the party has no issue with their partnership, it is essential for the state to remain peaceful.

In a show of confidence, former National Chairman of the PDP, Prince Uche Secondus, expressed his belief that Governor Fubara would secure a second term in 2027.

This endorsement underscores the group’s commitment to the current administration and their determination to ensure stability and progress in Rivers State.

The political realignment in Port Harcourt is a clear indication of the evolving dynamics within the PDP and the broader political landscape in Nigeria.

As the nation moves forward under the leadership of President Tinubu, the support of influential figures like Dr. Sekibo and Prince Secondus could prove instrumental in shaping the future of Rivers State and the country as a whole.
