Plateau United have secured midfielder Dayo Ojo on a free transfer from Beninoise club ASVO FC. The Peace Boys signed the experienced playmaker to a one-year contract.
Ojo will be a key addition to Gbenga Ogunbote's squad heading into next season. He boasts over 200 appearances in the Nigeria Premier Football League across his career.
The midfielder previously turned out for Remo Stars, Sunshine Stars and Enyimba. He also featured in the top flight for other clubs during his time in Nigerian football.
Ogunbote had previously tried recruiting Ojo during his time managing Shooting Stars in 2025. The Ibadan-based club couldn't get a deal done at that time.
Ojo represents another piece of business for Plateau United as they prepare for the new campaign. His wealth of experience should bolster their midfield options considerably.
