The National Democratic Congress marked Peter Obi's 65th birthday with an official tribute to its presidential candidate. Sen.
Cleopas Moses Zuwoghe, the party's national chairman, and Barrister Ikenna Morgan, its national secretary, released a joint statement celebrating the milestone.
"Today, we celebrate the hope of the nation, a leader of integrity, a servant leader, and the presidential candidate of the NDC, His Excellency, Peter Obi," the statement read.
The NDC leadership praised Obi's character and vision ahead of the 2027 election race. "Your courage inspires us.
Your vision gives millions of Nigerians hope. Your dedication to building a nation where the people come first continues to guide our party," they said.
The party extended warm wishes to its candidate as he enters the new year. "On behalf of the entire membership of the NDC, we wish you good health, wisdom, and God's guidance as you lead us into a new Nigeria," the statement concluded.
