The executive chairman of Patani Local Government Area, Hon. Barr. Peres, members of his cabinets, legislators supervisory councillors and others in the council area have applauded the developmental stride of Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa in the state and Patani LGA in particular.

The commendation was given during a sensitization visit to the council by members of the Team S.M.A.R.T led by the Director-General, Hon.Orishedere Sunny.
Addressing members during the visit, the Chairman of the Council, Hon. Barr. Peres thanked the executive and members of Team S.M.A.R.T for their proactive initiative, noting that the visit will help newly elected/appointed officers in the Council to understand the various policies and programs of the present administration.
Hon. Barr. Peres added that the people of Patani Local Government are fully in support of the Governor Okowa ambition to run for the 2019 governorship election in the state, assuring a 100% votes from the area come 2019.
The Patani local government boss however charged the executive and members of the Team to take the message to all the 25 local gocernment areas in the state.

In his earlier address, the Director-General of Team S.M.A.R.T for Okowa, Hon. Sunny Orishedere disclosed that the sensitization tour of the Team is to ensure that all newly elected/appointed officers at the local government areas alligned and key into the SMART AGENDA and also to acquaint themselves with various policies and programs of the government. He maintained that through this they can help both tiers of government to work together and collaborate for prosperity for all Deltans, assuring that Deltans will benefit more in the coming years.
Hon. Orishedere also stated that the 2019 election campaign will be issue base particularly on the achievements made so far by the present administration.
He categorically stated that, “As Ambassadors and Governors of the PDP as a party, there is need for us to equipped ourselves with the activities and success of the SMART AGENDA” to enable us take same message to the grassroots.
The DG further appealed to the elected amd appointed officers in the council to periodically organize interactive town hall meetings in their different wards and towns, this he said; will help in spreading the developmental message of the SMART Governor to the grassroots.
The DG also presented copies of the SMART DIGEST, a compendium of SMART achievements across the state to the Chairman for onward distribution.
