Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has warned that terrorism and banditry from the north have now reached his own community. Speaking at the US-Nigeria Faith Heroes Award gala in Washington, organised by the Save Nigeria Group, he expressed deep concern about the security crisis.

"It's so bad, far worse, that people are asking, 'Where is your God?'" Adeboye said. He noted that kidnappings and terrorist attacks that once plagued only the northern region have now spread to southern areas.

The cleric lamented that those orchestrating the violence continue operating without hindrance. "The sponsors are all well-known, and they are still moving around without any restrictions," he told the gathering.

Adeboye said he'd discussed the security situation with President Bola Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi, herself a pastor in the RCCG. He revealed that he urged the president to issue a clear directive to military commanders.

"Wipe out this rubbish or resign. Then take care of the supporters and the sponsors," he told Tinubu.

The church leader insisted that politicians and business figures are bankrolling the terrorists and armed gangs.

He stressed the government must pursue these financiers with the same intensity it targets the fighters themselves. "Some of them are businessmen.

Some of them are politicians," Adeboye said, adding that those supplying weapons and ammunition must face consequences.

The pastor warned that without dismantling the financial networks behind the insurgency, the crisis will persist. He pointed out that many bandits use motorcycles, making it easier to trace their supply chains if authorities prioritise investigating their funding sources.
