The immediate past Deputy President of the Senate and Delta State APC governorship candidate in the 2023 election, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, met with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa on Saturday.

Omo-Agege’s visit comes weeks after a delegation of Delta State APC leaders, led by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Olorogun Festus Keyamo, SAN, also held talks with the president.

The former lawmaker, who has been on a statewide "thanking tour" across Delta’s 25 local government areas, confirmed the meeting in a post on his verified social media handles on Sunday.

Sharing a photo of himself with the president at the State House, Omo-Agege stated that their discussion focused on national development, with particular emphasis on issues affecting Delta State.

“Last night, I had the privilege of meeting with His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

“We had a productive discussion on growth, development, and progress for our nation, with a focus on Delta State, and I’m optimistic about the future,” he wrote.

Omo-Agege, who represented Delta Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, served as Deputy Senate President from 2016 to 2023.
