Olotu & Ekuogbe Rowland Akpodiete Foundation lifts Delta Community with borehole and free medical services

A non -governmental organization, the Olotu & Ekuogbe Rowland Akpodiete Foundation has donated a borehole and offered free medical services to Okparabe Community, in Ughelli South local government area of Delta State.

Commissioning the borehole project, Pa Omolo,  with other community leaders and residents present, praised the foundation for the project “we pray God should continue to grant you the means to continue to provide basic amenities for this community and pray God to grant members of the foundation good health in Jesus name” he said

The Executive Director of the foundation, Dr. Olotu Akpodiete said the project was in honour of Late Chief (Dr.) Ekuogbe R. Akpodiete, LLM, PhD, 24th year Memorial Remembrance and the right of the indigenes of the community to have access to potable water in their community.

 Deacon Ogaga Ohwojero, the Operations Director of the Foundation who also spoke at the commissioning; appealed to the community to maintain the water project, adding that more water projects will be commission in other communities in Ughelli South LGA.

The foundation also provided free medical outreach to the indigenes of the community. The medical team led by Dr. Erhisere Akpomuvire, checked blood pressure, sugar level and free medical consultation with Medical drugs offered freely to those in need.

Also at Otor-Ihwreko town hall, Ughelli North LGA, free medical services was carried out, with over seventy persons attended to.

Other foundation members present at the commissioning and free medical outreach include Chief Mrs Grace Akpodiete, Mrs Florence Enughwure, Mrs Florence Okenerokporo and Chief Cecilia Umolo.
