Daniel Ogunmodede, who recently stepped down as Remo Stars head coach, has caught the attention of Kano Pillars as the club plans for the 2026-27 season. The tactician is believed to have already engaged in discussions with the four-time NPFL champions.

Ogunmodede guided Remo Stars to their maiden NPFL title in the 2024-25 campaign and steered the Sky Blue Stars through two CAF Champions League tournaments. He's eager to take on a fresh challenge after his departure from the Ikenne-based club.

Kano Pillars has also zeroed in on Salisu Yusuf, the seasoned coach, as a potential candidate for the role. Both mentors are in consideration as the Sai Masu Gida readies itself for the upcoming season.

Beyond his club commitments, Ogunmodede serves as an assistant coach under Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle. His dual experience at domestic and international levels makes him an attractive prospect for ambitious NPFL sides.
