Ogboru lauds Buhari, says his victory a testimony of good work

By Atevure Princess,

The Delta state All Progressive Congress, APC, governorship candidate, Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru, yesterday, described the overwhelming victory of the President-elect, President Muhammadu Buhari, as a testimony of his good work in the past four years.

Ogboru who congratulated Mr President on what he termed a well deserved victory, said the victory is a clear indication of the confidence Nigerians have on Buhari despite the attacks and criticisms he received from opposition political parties.

While congratulating President Muhammadu Buhari on his victory, Ogboru commended the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for conducting free, fair and credible election across the country, saying the victory has revealed how much Nigerians love Buhari.

According to him, “From the onset, l knew Buhari was going to win because he has done a lot for Nigerians and l was very optimistic that he was going to be paid back with massive votes. This has shown that good work deserves appreciations and that is what Nigerians exhibited on Saturday by voting for.

“You can see clearly that President Muhammadu Buhari won with 15, 191, 847 votes to defeat his closest rival, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who scored 11,262,978, and you can testify that even those from his party are asking him to congratulate Buhari in the spirit of sportsmanship.

“I want to use this medium to commend all our supporters across the state that stood firmly to give our president massive supports during the just concluded presidential and national assembly elections.

“We shall be most grateful if we sustain that temple as we move towards 9th of March to vote APC Governor and all the House of Assembly candidates.”
