Obuah praises Fubara’s victory at Rivers tribunal

The former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State, Bro. Felix Obuah, has hailed the ruling of the Rivers State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal that affirmed the election of Governor Simnalaye Fubara as the valid winner of the 2023 governorship election in the state.

Obuah, who is also the immediate past sole administrator of the Rivers State Waste Management Agency (RIWAMA), said the ruling was another vote of confidence for the PDP and its candidate, who received massive support from the people of Rivers State during the campaigns and the polls.

He commended the tribunal for its impartial and thorough examination of the petitions filed by the governorship candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Labour Party (LP), Accord Party (AP), and Allied Peoples Movement (APM), challenging Fubara’s victory.

He said the tribunal’s findings have put an end to the political distractions and confirmed the mandate freely given to Fubara by the electorate.

He thanked the Rivers people and other well-meaning Nigerians who have continued to support the Rivers State government with their encouragement and prayers. He assured them that their support would be reciprocated with good policies and programmes, infrastructural and human capital development, security, and a conducive business environment by the Fubara administration.
