Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda Boosts Sports Development in Delta State

Delta State is witnessing a significant transformation in sports development thanks to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda.

The state’s sports commission has made remarkable progress in upgrading facilities and training programs, positioning Delta State as a leader in national sports competitions.

Onoriode Omojaja, the Director of Administration at the Delta State Sports Commission, highlighted the positive impact of Governor Oborevwori’s sports policies during an appearance on Voice of Delta Radio 97.9 FM.

He praised the governor for prioritizing sports development in the state, which has led to the emergence of numerous sports stars and a strong foundation for future champions.

According to Omojaja, Delta State’s sports commission has benefited from consistent sporting programs, equipment upgrades, and training facilities improvements.

This has enabled the state to maintain its status as the unbeatable champion in national sports competitions.

The state is also planning to upgrade Warri Stadium into a world-class facility, further demonstrating the government’s commitment to sports development.

In addition, the sports commission intends to build more hostels to accommodate athletes and acquire additional utility vehicles for transportation.

Omojaja encouraged the youth of Delta State to participate in sports, citing the success stories of past and present sports icons as evidence of the opportunities and rewards that come with pursuing athletic careers.

He emphasized that the state sports commission is dedicated to providing adequate remuneration to athletes, ensuring that they are motivated to perform at their best.

Under Governor Oborevwori’s leadership, Delta State is not only maintaining its status as national sports champions but also striving to become the home of future champions.

The governor’s MORE Agenda is playing a crucial role in this transformation, setting a new standard for sports development in Nigeria.
