NUJ felicitates Wamakko, Tambuwal, others over successful Inauguration

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Sokoto State Council has felicitated Sen. Aliyu Wamakko (APC-Sokoto North) and Sen. Aminu Tambuwal (PDP- Sokoto South) over their successful Inauguration.

 

The council, in a statement on Wednesday jointly signed by its Chairman, Dalhatu Abdullahi and Secretary, Muhammad Bello, also congratulated Alhaji Tukur Bala and Kabir Ibrahim for their emergence as Speaker and Deputy Speaker in the State Assembly.

 

It also rejoiced with Gov. Ahmad Aliyu of the State, Sen. Ibrahim Lamido (APC- Sokoto East), 11 members of the House of Representatives and 30 Members of the State House of Assembly.

 

The NUJ appealed to the lawmakers to carry all the state’s populace along irrespective of political affiliations to move the state forward in the interest of all the citizens.

 

“We appeal to the lawmakers to actualise the trust of the citizens mandated to them.

 

“They should support the state government to succeed in its designed nine-point agenda and focus on improving the living condition of the people for the better,” the statement said.

 

The council further appealed for maximum support and prayers from the people of the state to enable the lawmakers succeed in  making Sokoto a better place for all.
