NSCDC deploys armed personnel to secure Nigeria’s borders

The NSCDC, the guardians of the Nigerian borders, announced that they have sent their best men and women, armed and ready, to protect the frontier with the Niger Republic via Katsina State.

Mr. Jamilu Indabawa, the NSCDC chief in the state, revealed this when he welcomed the new boss of the NCS in Katsina, Mr. Muhammad Umar, who paid him a visit.

He said that the border patrol was a result of the strong collaboration among the security forces in the state to ensure the people’s safety and security.

Indabawa also expressed his gratitude for the good partnership between the two agencies in the state.

He added that the command would keep working with the customs service in the fields of intelligence and joint operations.

On his part, Umar called for more cooperation on joint operations, intelligence, and border drills.

The comptroller also stressed, “NCS cannot do it all by themselves, especially with the huge land area of the state.

“NSCDC has a vital role to play because of its grassroots presence in almost every corner of the state.
