The Delta State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Omeni Sobotie, on Tuesday declared Governor Sheriff Oborevwori “unbeatable” ahead of the 2027 general election, insisting that no credible challenger has emerged to threaten the governor’s re-election.
Speaking while receiving the executive committee of the College of Executive Assistants (EAs) to the Governor at the APC secretariat in Asaba, Sobotie said Oborevwori’s growing popularity across the state and what he described as “divine favour” had firmly positioned him for a second term.
According to the party chairman, the governor’s re-election bid is “unstoppable by merit,” citing what he termed strong performance over the past three years, including major investments in bridges, roads, schools and other critical infrastructure across Delta State.
Sobotie also credited the Oborevwori administration with progress in human capital development, peace-building and security, arguing that these achievements have consolidated broad-based political support for the governor ahead of 2027. He commended the College of Executive Assistants for its loyalty, describing the forum as a strategic pillar of the administration and a valuable asset to the APC in the state.
Responding, the Chairman of the College of Executive Assistants, Chief Hon. Taju Isichei (Ikuku), said the forum was established to support the effective implementation of government policies in line with Governor Oborevwori’s M.O.R.E Agenda and President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope vision.
Isichei disclosed that the body would soon embark on a statewide tour of the 25 local government areas to showcase the administration’s development milestones, promote APC online registration and deepen voter education ahead of future elections.
He thanked the APC leadership for sustaining party cohesion and expressed confidence that Delta State would continue to rank among Nigeria’s leading states in governance under Oborevwori’s leadership.
