He explained that the fellowship offers participants structured workplace exposure, professional mentorship, employability training, and capacity-building opportunities aimed at improving their competitiveness in the job market.

Young Nigerian graduates have been encouraged to apply for the Nigerian Youth Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP), a flagship initiative designed to provide practical workplace experience, career development, and employability opportunities for unemployed youths across the country.

The programme, funded by the European Union and implemented in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), is aimed at bridging the gap between academic learning and the labour market by equipping young graduates with hands-on professional experience, mentorship, and industry-relevant skills.

Speaking on the ongoing application process, Delta State Chief Job Creation Officer, Ifeanyi Egwunyenga, said successful applicants would be deployed to reputable public and private sector organisations nationwide, where they would gain valuable work experience while earning monthly stipends of up to ₦150,000.

He explained that the fellowship offers participants structured workplace exposure, professional mentorship, employability training, and capacity-building opportunities aimed at improving their competitiveness in the job market.

According to him, the initiative represents a strategic investment in Nigeria’s future workforce and is expected to contribute significantly to reducing unemployment while promoting innovation, productivity, and economic growth.

Egwunyenga noted that beyond helping individual beneficiaries build sustainable careers, the programme is also designed to strengthen national development by nurturing a new generation of skilled professionals capable of driving transformation across critical sectors of the economy.

To qualify for the programme, applicants must be Nigerian graduates from 2022 or later, must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), and must currently be unemployed.

Eligible youths have therefore been urged to take advantage of the opportunity by applying through the programme’s official portal, NJFP Portal.
