Nigerian Leaders Extend Easter Wishes to Citizens, Emphasizing Unity and Sacrifice

In the spirit of Easter, Nigerian President Bola Tinubu, the Nigeria Governors’ Forum led by Kwara State Governor AbdulRazaq, and security chiefs have joined the Christian faithful in commemorating the triumph of life over death.

This significant moment is marked by themes of love, sacrifice, and compassion, as exemplified by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

President Tinubu emphasized the importance of sacrifice and selflessness in his Easter message, urging all citizens to remain united and steadfast in the pursuit of a prosperous and peaceful nation.

He commended Nigerians for their patience and sacrifices in steering the country towards a path of recovery and sustainable growth.

Governor AbdulRazaq called upon the Christian community to evoke the time-tested themes of love, sacrifice, compassion, unity, and triumph of good over evil during their Easter celebrations.

He encouraged citizens to help one another in upholding goodness and justice in the world.

The Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Christopher Musa, and the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, both urged the Armed Forces and citizens to emulate the virtues and ultimate sacrifice made by Jesus Christ.

They emphasized the importance of sacrifice for the greater good of mankind.

Security measures have been intensified, with the deployment of police personnel and operational assets to areas of likely security threats across the country.

The Department of State Security has urged citizens to adopt self-control, discipline, and compassion in their dealings and conduct, while eschewing bitterness, disloyalty, fake news, hate speech, and violence.

As Christians worldwide celebrate Easter, Nigerian leaders and security chiefs have come together to emphasize the importance of unity, sacrifice, and compassion in overcoming challenges and building a brighter future for the nation.
