Ned Nwoko mourns Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, consoles bereaved family

Senator representing Delta North, Ned Nwoko, has paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, describing the former lawmaker as a distinguished leader, courageous patriot and statesman whose contributions to public service left a lasting imprint on Anioma land, Delta State and Nigeria.

Speaking on behalf of the Anioma people, Senator Nwoko expressed deep sorrow over Nwaoboshi’s passing, noting that the loss was not only painful for the family but also for the state and the nation. He described the deceased as a “true Dike,” a man of integrity, strength and unwavering commitment to the development of his people.

Recalling the late senator’s political career, Nwoko said Nwaoboshi stood firmly for justice, fairness and progress, adding that his selfless service and dedication to the welfare of his constituents earned him respect and left a legacy worthy of emulation.

The senator clarified that he had no involvement in the challenges faced by Nwaoboshi before his death, revealing that he had hoped to meet with him and had earlier sent messages seeking dialogue and reconciliation in the interest of peace and unity in Anioma land and the wider Delta North Senatorial District.

Senator Nwoko offered heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, friends and associates, praying for God’s comfort, strength and fortitude, as well as the peaceful repose of the late senator’s soul. Members of the Nwaoboshi family thanked him for the visit and his words of encouragement, describing the gesture as a source of comfort in their moment of grief.
