Ned Nwoko mourns passing of Dunkwu, Deputy Chief of Staff to Reps Speaker

Senator Ned Nwoko has expressed deep condolences to the family of Dr. Chamberlain Nnamdi Dunkwu, Deputy Chief of Staff (Legislative) in the Office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, following his death at the age of 54.

In a condolence message, the lawmaker representing Delta North Senatorial District said he received news of Dunkwu’s passing in Abuja with profound shock and grief.

Senator Nwoko described the late Dunkwu as a “steadfast, courageous and resourceful professional who remained unwavering in his commitment to worthy causes” throughout his life.

He noted that Dunkwu demonstrated remarkable patriotism and integrity in public administration, citing his immense contributions to the National Assembly and national development, spanning almost a decade of distinguished service.

According to the senator, the late Dunkwu also brought “this exceptional dedication to his recent national assignment as President of the Nigerian Aquatics Federation, where he worked tirelessly to reinvigorate the organisation and reposition it as a vital component of our country’s sporting development.”

The lawmaker further observed that Dunkwu would be remembered as a compassionate patriot who consistently attended to the needs and aspirations of those around him through selfless acts of generosity and philanthropy that touched many lives.

“My heartfelt condolences go to the immediate family, the people of his Ute-Okpu community, and the numerous beneficiaries of his exemplary kindness. May his soul rest in perfect peace as he returns to his Maker,” Senator Nwoko stated.
