Kwara United have brought in 16 fresh faces for the 2026-27 campaign, the club announced on Wednesday. The Ilorin outfit kept just 14 players from their previous squad.
The Harmony Boys made the unveiling at their secretariat, with club chairman Kumbi Titiloye explaining the recruitment drive. He said the new signings would bolster the team after several players left when their deals expired.
The club secured two goalkeepers: Stanley Victor from Kada City and Ouattara Khalifa, who arrives from Alemas FC in Mali. On the defensive line, they recruited Ferinyaro Ali from Kada Warriors, Peace Dewan from Bendel Insurance, Ada Adamu from Barau FC, and Uche Daniel from Yobe Desert FC.
Midfield and attacking reinforcements include Anthony Nnamdi from Bendel Insurance and Emmanuel Ekpeyong from ASEAMI FC. They also signed Obed Ponkap from Barau FC, Ajibola Ayomade from Ikorodu City, Solomon Shoola from Abraysports, Benjamin Jack from Nasarawa United, and Sanni Mohammed from ACAS FA in Laos.
The moves represent a significant squad overhaul as Kwara United prepare for the new season ahead. The club believes the new additions will help them compete strongly in the Nigerian Premier Football League.
