Rabiu Kwankwaso dismissed claims that he's secretly backing President Bola Tinubu's reelection bid. Speaking on Global Television Wednesday, the NDC chieftain rejected the allegations outright.
Sanusi Bature, spokesman for Kano Governor Abba Yusuf, had alleged Kwankwaso was working for Tinubu behind the scenes. Kwankwaso said only foolish people would believe such talk.
"I'm not conversant with anybody working for anyone," he told the interviewer. According to him, his party's commitment is transparent and documented.
He noted that similar accusations dogged him when he was with the NNPP. Now people will see that the NDC is serious about governance, he added.
Kwankwaso outlined his party's priorities. These include tackling insecurity and improving education across the nation.
