Kome support group gives out Christmas largess to Iyede people

 

The Chairman, Kome Support Group, Mr Oghenekome Okpobor in the spirit of the yuletide season has put smiles in the faces of many indigent people in Iyede community in Isoko North local government area of Delta state.

The largesse which comprised cash gifts and food items such as several bags of rice, gallons of groundnut oil, soft drinks and bottled water were handed over to residents, both young and old, men and women, amidst tearful joys and cheers.

Mr Kome while remarking noted that “it’s the season of celebration of the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ who stated clearly in the Holy Scriptures that His purpose of birth and death was for men to have and enjoy life to the full, therefore as Christian faithfuls, it is eminent on us to support those around we can and spread the love that accompanies this season into every home as best possible.”

Responding on behalf of the residents, the community men and women leaders who were full with gratitude acknowledged separately that the benevolence of the chairman has become commonplace among his people as he has never failed to come to their support in any front.

“Day after day, moments after moments, Mr Kome keeps putting smiles on our faces when we least expect. He not only celebrates each season with us but also helps us with means to celebrate. We are proud of him as a son and wish others will emulate his kind gestures towards the community”.

Prayers and thanksgiving were offered to God for him.
