The Kogi State Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology has announced a compulsory holiday for all primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions in the state from Friday, November 10, to Tuesday, November 14, 2023.

The holiday is to enable the smooth conduct of the governorship election scheduled for November 11, according to the statement issued by the Commissioner, Hon. Wemi Jones, on Tuesday.

He said the schools will resume normal academic activities on Wednesday, November 15.

He wished everyone a peaceful election and assured the public that the government is committed to providing a safe and conducive environment for a free, fair, and credible election.
