Kenneth Okonkwo, a top figure in the African Democratic Party, claims he warned Peter Obi against switching to the NDC. The ADP chieftain made the disclosure Friday on X platform.

Okonkwo said he told Obi he'd become a "mobile squatter" if he abandoned the African Democratic Congress. His warning, he believes, has already proven accurate.

Recent comments by NDC national leader Seriake Dickson confirmed his worst fears, Okonkwo argued. Dickson suggested that founding a party is simple if dissidents want to leave.

"Squatters do not have rights and privileges in the landlord's house," Okonkwo wrote on the platform. He was making a pointed comparison about Obi's position within the NDC.

According to the Nollywood actor turned politician, Obi and his supporters now serve only as obedient foot soldiers. Their role involves complete submission to what he called the NDC's "Supreme Leader."

Okonkwo's remarks suggest deep tension between the ADP and NDC political camps. His comments also hint at lingering frustration over Obi's party realignment ahead of last year's election.
