Voting started Wednesday in Kebbi State for the APC's presidential primary election. Party members crowded polling units, chanting "Sai Tinubu" and waving their voting cards enthusiastically.
Governor Nasir Idris cast his ballot at his designated polling unit. He was joined by former Governor Atiku Bagudu and Ambassador Saidu Dakingari.
Officials reported that Idris's polling unit had 5,652 accredited voters. Nassarawa Polling Unit II recorded 2,825 voters in the exercise.
Party members in both units overwhelmingly backed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Delegates affirmed their support for the president without dissent.
After voting concluded, the governor and his team moved to Nassarawa I Ward. They went there to monitor the ongoing primary election process.
Security was tight across all voting centers in the state. Party officials and independent monitors watched the exercise at every ward.
