Kaduna APC grants Abbas fifth consecutive nomination through primary election results

Kaduna's APC chapter released results of its House of Representatives primaries on Saturday. Several winners emerged across the state's federal constituencies.

Yakubu Hosseini chaired the primary election committee. He announced the outcomes at party headquarters in Kaduna.

Abbas Tajudeen claimed the Zaria Federal Constituency ticket unopposed. He polled 930 votes to secure the nomination.

"Right Honourable Abbas Tajudeen, having satisfied APC requirements and scored the highest votes, is declared winner," Hosseini announced. The Speaker's ally will fly the party's flag in his constituency.

Samaila Abdul Suleiman won Kaduna North with 3,049 votes. He defeated Abdulaziz Abubakar Kaka, who managed just 65 votes.

Abubakar Mahmoud came third with 96 votes. Suleiman met all party constitutional requirements, election officials confirmed.

In Zango Kataf/Jaba, Amos Gwamna Magaji emerged as consensus candidate. He received 1,930 votes from party delegates.

Benjamin Gugong triumphed in Kaura Federal Constituency. According to him, he defeated Donatus Mathieu who polled 255 votes to his 1,085.

Mukhtar Zakarin Chiawai became consensus candidate for Kauru. Party officials credited him with 1,750 votes.

Felix Joseph Bagudu won Kachia Federal Constituency with 1,580 votes. Daniel Amos claimed victory in Jema'a/Sanga.

Gabriel Salle also emerged victorious in Kagarko/Kachia. He satisfied all party constitutional demands, according to officials.

Sadiq Ango Abdullahi, son of elder statesman Prof. Ango Abdullahi, won his contest.

His tally stood at 920 votes.

Muhammad Jallo polled 1,171 votes in his constituency. Bashir Suleiman Juntu secured 1,787 votes elsewhere.

Atiku Sanke, the state APC chairman, formally endorsed all results. He declared the exercise completed successfully.

INEC officials attended the announcement ceremony. They brought collated results from various constituencies across Kaduna.

Party authorities conducted the exercise following APC constitution guidelines. Everything proceeded smoothly, election officials confirmed.
