The College of Nursing Sciences in Jalingo has lifted its ban on student union activities, allowing both the Students' Union Government and the Taraba State Students' Union to resume operations immediately. Management announced the decision on Monday following what it described as thorough deliberation and review of the suspension.

The college said in an official notice that the ban ends effective July 6, 2026. All prohibited activities—including meetings, gatherings, and union-organised programmes—now have the green light to proceed on campus.

The suspension had blocked student political and organisational activities for a period that the college did not specify in its announcement. Management has now decided to restore normalcy by allowing these operations to continue.

However, the college warned that student unions must conduct their affairs in an orderly and peaceful manner. Union executives and members must comply strictly with institutional rules and regulations, the management stressed.

Lawful conduct remains non-negotiable in all engagements, the notice made clear. The college expects that restoring these activities will help foster stability and decorum across campus moving forward.

Management commended students for their cooperation during the suspension period. The college noted that their compliance had helped maintain institutional stability throughout the restriction.

The directive was signed by Bala Adam, the college's registrar, and sent to key officials including the provost, deputy provost, deputy registrar, and the dean of students' affairs. The SUG president and TASSU coordinator also received copies.

The announcement signals management's confidence that student unions can now operate responsibly under the institution's oversight. The college's message suggests it remains committed to balancing student freedoms with institutional discipline.
