I’ll also defeat Igbakpa at the Court of Appeal says Agoda

The House of Representative candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, for Ethiope federal constituency, Hon Halims Agoda on Friday has said, “that if his opponent Hon Benson Igbakpa like, he should go to Court of Appeal, he will still defeat him in the Appeal Court” adding that he has recovered his stolen mandate.

Agoda stated this at his country home yesterday at Jesse, Delta State when he was celebrating his Tribunal victory with thousands of his supporters yesterday after been declared as the winner of Feb, 23^rd National Assembly election for Ethiope federal constituency.

While addressing journalists yesterday the elated Agoda said; “I have been oppressed but I refused to be oppressed. My place of birth cannot stop me, I must rise, I will go to the expected height God Almighty has given to me. I thank the electorates, they stood by me. I thank God because I have recovered my stolen mandate.

“I will go to Abuja and legislate for Nigeria, I will make laws in my community and I will not disappoint my people. If my opponent like, he should go to the Court of Appeal, I will remove him even in the court of appeal.

Speaking further he said, “for the past 8 months after the elections, I have not rested, I went for primary and after the primary, a different result was submitted to national headquarters of my party APC and I wrote a petition to my party. The party set up an appeal panel headed by Prof. Osunbo, a former governor of Edo state and I presented my case that I won with evidential proof and at the end of the day the Appeal panel gave me judgement and agreed with my submission.

“When I was at the appeal panel, many enemies who doesn’t want me to exist approach the leadership of the Appeal Panel with various sums of money ranging from 100millions and above but they resisted it and said that I won and that we know the antecedent of Hon Halims Agoda when he was in the National Assembly, this country recognizes me, the people who claimed they are above, influence this case from Abuja to Asaba hoping that at Asaba they will have their way. Four days to the election the federal high court gave me judgement as the candidates of the party” he said.

He also noted that in Ethiope East where there are 11 wards, he won ten wards, in Jesse, Mosogar, he won conveniently, but the so called power that be doctored the results, inflated the figures without taking into cognizance the number of accredited voters, gave money to some people and declared his opponent the winner.

“I gathered all my materials and went to the Tribunal, the tribunal came with facts that I have the highest votes and that I won the election. The court ordered that the certificate that was erroneously given to the wrong person should be taken from him and given back to me” Agoda added.
