GCUOBA APT: OERAF; Explorers Innovative Initiative give award to best students

The management of Olotu & Ekuogbe Rowland Akpodiete Foundation, OERAF and Explorers Innovative Initiative, Non-Governmental Organizations at the third edition of Awards, Prizes & Testimonials (APT) reunion of Government College Ughelli, Old Boys Association (GCUOBA) presented awards to the best students.

The Director of operations, Deacon Ogaga Ohwojero on behalf of Olotu & Ekuogbe Rowland Akpodiete Foundation presented Chief Dr. Ekuogbe Akpodiete Government Prize/Award to the Best SS1 Student in Government recently at the Assembly Hall, Government College Ughelli.

He also promised that the prize/award will be sustained annually to encourage students of the College to be at their best performance in their studies.

In a related development; the Delta District Chairman of Explorers Innovative Initiative, Mr. Omatsola Boyo on behalf of Non-Governmental Organization presented Explorers Physics Prize to the Best SS1 Student in Physics recently at the Assembly Hall, Government College Ughelli.

Among other prizes given to students are Powell Scholarship Award, Demas Akpore literature Award, J.E. Jones Arts Award and Explorers Physics Prize.

Some of the members of the National Executive council of GCUOBA present are; Arc. Charles Majoroh (President-General Worldwide) and Chief Albert Akpomudje SAN (1^st Vice-President General) and other prominent dignitaries.
