The Idumuje-Unor Progressive Union (IPUN) Abuja branch has expressed its solidarity with Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko, who represents the Delta North senatorial district, during a recent visit to his Abuja residence.

Led by Sam Mukolu, the President of IPUN’s Abuja chapter, a delegation of union executives and stakeholders met with the senator on Friday, October 25, where they discussed pressing developmental issues affecting Idumuje-Unor and expressed strong support for the proposed creation of Anioma State.

Senator Nwoko, known for his proactive approach, received his constituents warmly and engaged in discussions covering the region’s development needs, with the creation of Anioma State emerging as a key topic. The IPUN members underscored the benefits of statehood for Delta North and emphasized the senator’s significant role in championing this cause.

In a parallel show of support, the Ndoshimili Development Association—a prominent Anioma socio-cultural group from Ndokwa-East Local Government Area—formally endorsed the Anioma State initiative. The association’s Chairman, Dr. Titus Obiorah Enuebuke, issued a statement affirming the group's confidence in Senator Nwoko’s dedication and leadership.

"As Ndoshimili Development Association, representing the interests of Ndokwa-East LGA, we have unwavering faith in your capability and commitment to lead our people, particularly in advancing the Anioma State cause. We assure you, Distinguished Senator, of our full and unequivocal support in actualizing the long-sought Anioma State,” the statement read.

The association further commended Nwoko’s work in providing effective representation for Delta North, noting his contributions across the Senate and beyond. “Your efforts to promote our interests through purposeful representation, strategic discourse, and legislative bills reflect your commitment to securing equitable opportunities for the Anioma people within Nigeria’s governance structure,” Dr. Enuebuke added.

These endorsements signal growing support from the Delta North community, as leaders and residents rally behind Senator Nwoko’s legislative vision and his advocacy for Anioma State creation, which they believe will enhance regional development and representation.
