I will run open, participatory Government, Omo-Agege assures Obidients

Ahead of March 11th, governorship elections, Delta All Progressive Congress (APC), gubernatorial candidate, Sanator Ovie Omo Agege at the weekend promised to run an open, participatory government if elected governor of Delta state.

The Deputy President of the Senate, who stated this in Asaba during a meeting with Obidient supporters, said he is not happy with the Peoples Democratic Party PDP for allegedly stealing Deltans’ hard resources.

He said the high cost of tuition fee in the state’s tertiary institutions called for serious concern.

According to him, “During the days of Dr Emmanuel Uduagha as governor, our fees were as low as N25,000, but now it’s about N350,000. When I become governor I am going to reverse it to the good old days of Governor Uduagha.

I am here to offer myself to do better, that is why am here to solicit for your help because I can’t do it alone. I’m here to change the narrative of Delta State, on that note Obidient and APC are on the same page.

In her remarks, the acting Lead Coordinator of Obidient Movement, Ngozi Onyegwachie said they decided to pitch their tent with Ovie Omo Agege to seek a fresh breath of air, saying they are mere Obidient movement not card-carrying members of Labour Party working against the party’s governorship candidate in the state.

Corroborating the state coordinator, Mr Ochuko Edafe, lead coordinator for the coalition for Mr Peter Obi in Delta Central, said the movement looked out for credible candidate and they found it in Ovie Omo Agege.

“Omo-Agege is the most credible candidate as far as this election is concerned in Delta state,” he said.
