Lafarge Africa Plc has officially rebranded as HBM Nigeria Plc. The transformation marks a major shift in the company's strategic direction following changes to its ownership structure.

Officials say the rebrand won't disrupt daily operations or staff numbers. Customers, shareholders, and investors will experience seamless continuity, the company assured stakeholders on Wednesday.

Group Managing Director Lolu Alade-Akinyemi unveiled the new identity at a ceremony. He described it as an exciting chapter for Nigeria's leading building solutions provider.

"HBM Nigeria Plc signals our forward-looking phase," Alade-Akinyemi told reporters. He noted the firm remains committed to delivering quality cement, concrete, and aggregates nationwide.

According to him, the transition will happen gradually across all operations. The company plans sustained investments and stronger focus on long-term economic value creation.

Board Chairman Gbenga Oyebode expressed confidence in the rebrand. "We are positioned for enduring success," he noted at the event.

Oyebode thanked shareholders for their trust during this period. He also praised the board, management, and staff for driving the company forward.

Works Minister Dave Umahi commended HBM Nigeria Plc for infrastructure contributions. He highlighted the company's role in delivering landmark projects across the country.

"I can talk about Lafarge for a whole day because we have come a long way," Umahi said. In his words, their products maintain impeccable standards and high integrity.

The minister backed the company's vision for supporting government's infrastructure agenda. He praised management for strict adherence to quality and ethical business practices.

Industry observers see the rebrand as positioning the firm for global collaboration. It reflects the company's evolution within Nigeria's competitive building materials sector.

HBM Nigeria Plc has deep local roots spanning decades. The company supplies products to residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects nationwide.

Sources close to management say the phased implementation will protect stakeholder interests. Employees will receive comprehensive support during the transition period ahead.

Host communities where the company operates will benefit from sustained investment. The firm reiterated its commitment to responsible business practices and environmental sustainability.

Analysts believe the rebrand strengthens the company's competitive positioning. It signals readiness to tap emerging opportunities in Nigeria's growing construction market.

Dignitaries from government, business, and civil society attended Wednesday's unveiling ceremony. The event took place amid expectations of renewed operational momentum under the new identity.

HBM Nigeria Plc will maintain its production facilities across major regions. Distribution networks and customer service centers remain operational without interruption.

The company's executive team is committed to shareholder value creation. Long-term ambitions include stronger market presence and expanded product innovation going forward.
