Guinness World Records has officially certified a concert in Lagos as the world's largest orchestra assembled for an Afrobeats performance. The global record-keeping body announced the achievement on X on Tuesday, sharing a video from the event headlined by Fuji legends King Saheed Osupa and KS1 Malaika.

Dapper Live & Artists staged the record-breaking show, which featured 85 musicians performing in perfect coordination. The performance, titled Trench Symphony: The Dapper Live Experience, took place on December 16, 2025, at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos.

Guinness World Records confirmed the milestone in its post: "Largest orchestra for an Afrobeats concert – 85 musicians by Dapper Live & Artists. This attempt took place at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos, Nigeria in December 2025 and was staged as a live orchestral performance based on an Afrobeats composition."

A conductor led the ensemble, which included a lead vocalist, backing choir, dancers, and 85 instrumentalists working together seamlessly. The production proved how Afrobeats and orchestral music blend naturally into one compelling artistic statement.

The concert featured a star-studded roster beyond the two Fuji icons. Performers included T.I Blaze, Rybeena, Bhadboi OML, Kashcoming, TML Vibez, Lasmid, Heis Cazulee and Dwillsharmony.

Before Guinness World Records made its official confirmation, organisers announced on Instagram that the performance had undergone review and verification by the international authority. They'd designed the ambitious production specifically to merge Afrobeats, Fuji music and orchestral arrangements into something record-worthy.

Dapper Live & Artists operates under Nigerian music executive Damilola Akinwunmi, known professionally as Dapper. He's recognised for his relationship with celebrity chef Hilda Baci, who holds three Guinness World Records of her own.
