Governor Mutfwang Blames Buhari for Nigeria’s Economic Hardship and Food Crisis

Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang, has accused former President Muhammadu Buhari of being responsible for Nigeria’s current economic hardship and food crisis.

Mutfwang made these remarks during the swearing-in of 22 Special Advisers and heads of government agencies at the Government House in Jos.

According to Mutfwang, the Federal Government inherited an economy in terrible shape from the last administration, with Nigeria having printed up to N30tn and shared it, as well as selling crude oil in advance.

This, he claims, has led to widespread hunger and looting of food stores and warehouses across the country.

The governor also pointed out that the financial distress currently plaguing the country is a direct result of President Bola Tinubu’s administration inheriting an empty treasury upon assuming power.

National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu acknowledged the severe financial constraints affecting budgetary allocations but reassured the nation that the federal government is committed to maintaining a robust and viable defense management and mechanism.

In light of the current situation, Governor Mutfwang’s administration plans to set up a special agro-processing zone in the Barkin Ladi Local Government Area in partnership with the African Development Bank to the tune of $300m.

He urged the new appointees to help the administration reverse the ugly situation in the state for the good of the people, adding that Plateau people have suffered enough distraction.

As Nigeria grapples with economic hardship and a food crisis, it is crucial for the government to address these issues and work towards improving the lives of its citizens.

The current administration must find a way to overcome the financial distress and work towards a more secure and prosperous future for the country.
