Governor Makinde Warns Newly Sworn-In PMS Officials: ‘No Tolerance for Criminal Activities’

At the House of Chiefs, Secretariat in Agodi, Ibadan, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State made a strong statement to the newly sworn-in executive members of the Park Management System (PMS).

The governor emphasized that his administration would not tolerate any criminal activities from PMS officials and that they would be held accountable for their actions.

Representing Governor Makinde at the inauguration, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Olusegun Olayiwola, reiterated the administration’s commitment to maintaining law and order in the state.

The governor urged the PMS Exco to identify and address potential issues that could lead to violence, assuring them of his administration’s support.

Governor Makinde stressed that the state’s parks serve as vital spaces for recreation, relaxation, and community gathering, and as such, the managers of these parks must be held accountable for their actions.

He made it clear that the state would not tolerate any illegal activities, substance abuse, or other nefarious activities in the various parks.

This announcement reflects Governor Makinde’s dedication to ensuring a peaceful and safe environment for the people of Oyo State.

It serves as a reminder to all officials that they must act responsibly and in the best interest of the state and its citizens.
