Gov. Uba Sani Offers Free Education to Rescued Kuriga Students

The Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, has announced that his foundation will provide free education to the recently rescued Kuriga school children.

The students, who were abducted from Lea Primary School and Government Secondary School Kuriga in the Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, were reunited with their parents after a harrowing two-week ordeal.

The children were kidnapped on March 7th and subsequently rescued in Zamfara State through the combined efforts of the military and local authorities.

Governor Sani, who was deeply involved in the rescue mission, expressed his commitment to the children’s welfare and safety.

During a presentation of the children to their families on Wednesday, the Secretary to the Kaduna State Government, Professor Abdulkadir Meyere, recounted the state’s relentless pursuit of their safe return.

He emphasized Governor Sani’s dedication to ensuring the children’s well-being and security.

In addition to offering free education to the rescued students, Governor Sani has pledged to rebuild the primary and government secondary school in Kuriga.

Furthermore, he plans to provide other essential infrastructure in the community to improve the quality of life for its residents.

The Governor’s Foundation, which will be providing the free education, aims to ensure that the traumatic experience does not hinder the students’ pursuit of knowledge and personal growth.

This initiative is a testament to the state government’s commitment to prioritizing education and the welfare of its citizens.

As the students embark on their educational journey, the people of Kaduna State can look forward to a brighter future, with a renewed focus on education and community development.
