‘Ghana Must Go’ bags banned at all Nigerian airports

Passengers at all airports in the country are no longer allowed to use ‘Ghana Must Go’ sacks, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has announced.

A circular by FAAN, with the title ‘Re: Prohibition of Usage of Ghana Must Go’, and signed by Manager, Airport Services, Henok Gizachew, said the ban was mainly for passengers flying through the country’s international airports.

Gizachew said the authority banned the sack because it has caused the airline huge losses and also ruined the airport’s conveyor belt system.

He said passengers who want to use ‘Ghana Must Go’ to travel must pack the same in boxes or hardcovers of rectangular shape.

The ‘Ghana Must Go’ bags have been blamed for the malfunction of many of the country’s airports’ conveyor belt systems, which has put a lot of burden on the airport authority.
