Ahmad Tijjani Galadima has won the APC governorship primary in Adamawa State. He's a former chief of the Petroleum Trust Development Fund.
Professor Innocent Bariko announced the results in Yola on Friday. Bariko chaired the primary election committee.
Galadima polled 414,444 votes to defeat all other contenders. He dominated the race decisively.
Abdulrazak Namdas came second with 86,004 votes. Abdurahman Bashir Haske, described as the youngest aspirant, finished third with 65,424 votes.
According to Bariko, the election reflected strong support. Galadima will now fly the party's flag in the governorship election.
