FRSC to Crack Down on Vehicles Transporting Animals and Humans Together

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Bauchi has announced plans to crack down on vehicles transporting animals and humans together, citing safety concerns.

The FRSC has been mandated by the FRSC headquarters to seize such vehicles, and offenders will be prosecuted in mobile courts.

Sector Commander Patrick Ikaba emphasized the dangers of this practice, stating that in the event of a crash, animals can fall on passengers, increasing the risk of fatalities.

He urged the public to separate the transportation of animals and humans, as it is either one or the other.

The FRSC has advised that only one person should be allowed to accompany the animals during transportation, and violators will be brought before a magistrate to explain their actions.

The agency is currently collaborating with the courts to establish mobile courts to handle these cases.

This move by the FRSC aims to improve road safety and prevent accidents caused by the combined transportation of animals and humans.

It is important for drivers and transport operators to adhere to these regulations to avoid penalties and ensure the safety of all road users.
