Kaduna, Nigeria - In preparation for the upcoming Eid-El-Kabir festivities, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Kaduna Sector Command, has announced the deployment of its personnel and Special Marshals across the state.

The initiative aims to ensure hitch-free celebrations and is part of the FRSC's efforts to enhance road safety and public awareness.

Sector Commander Mr. Kabir Nadabo revealed that the special marshals would work alongside regular marshals in enforcing traffic regulations and conducting public enlightenment campaigns.

He emphasized the importance of the operational order released by the FRSC National Headquarters, which outlines strategies to achieve a crash-free, hitch-free, and seamless vehicular movement during and after the festival.

To sensitize the public about routes likely to be affected by increased vehicular movement, the command has arranged a series of interventions and mobilized sufficient manpower and logistics.

These efforts include deploying eight ambulances stationed at strategic locations such as Katari, Doka, Kakau, Rigachikun, Mando, Zaria, and Tashar Yari, to promptly respond to road traffic crashes.

Additionally, the FRSC has made arrangements to deploy more staff to other formations across the state, including Zaria, Soba, Pambegau, Saminaka, Kachia, and Gwantu.

This deployment aims to enhance traffic control and rescue operations along their interconnected routes, covering various parts of the country.

The FRSC operatives will focus primarily on offenses such as overloading, loading of humans and animals, driving with worn-out or expired tyres, drivers' license violations, excessive speeding, and lane indiscipline.

The command has also deployed bikes for effective patrol and tow trucks for prompt removal or clearance of obstructions along the highways.

Sector Commander Nadabo expressed gratitude for the support from the Kaduna State Government in supporting the FRSC's activities in the state through various interventions.

He reiterated the corps' commitment to collaborating with the state government to achieve fewer crashes and fatalities while ensuring compliance with traffic rules and regulations by the citizens.

The FRSC Kaduna Sector Command will closely monitor the implementation of all directives to ensure the successful execution of the Eid-El-Kabir Sallah patrol operations.
