Former NTA Chairman Ogbu Vies for Benue PDP Chairmanship

Former Chairman of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Chief Patrick Ogbu, has declared his intention to contest for the chairmanship of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Benue State.

Ogbu made the announcement on Friday at his residence in Makurdi, the state capital.

Ogbu, a devoted member of the PDP since its inception, emphasized his commitment and passion for the party’s success.

He believes that his experience and dedication make him a suitable candidate to lead the party in the state.

In his speech, Ogbu highlighted the challenges facing the PDP and expressed his determination to unite and inspire the party.

He pledged to work tirelessly towards achieving the party’s goals and objectives.

Support for Ogbu’s political aspirations has been voiced by several prominent figures within the PDP.

Julius Atorough, a former PDP governorship aspirant and candidate for the Vandeikya/Konshisha Federal Constituency, praised Ogbu’s work ethic and dedication.

Additionally, the Chairman of Igumale Ward, Hon Godwin Onwue, and the State Assistant Secretary of the party, Rose Ameh, have also backed Ogbu’s bid for the chairmanship.

Dr Sebastian Agbinda, a former Special Adviser, also expressed his respect for all the aspirants but noted that Ogbu’s record sets him apart.

As the political landscape in Benue State continues to evolve, Ogbu’s entrance into the race for PDP chairmanship is a significant development.

The outcome of the chairmanship contest will undoubtedly have implications for the party’s future in the state.
