Senator Ned Nwoko remains a key driver of Delta State’s development and a major force in advancing Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s M.O.R.E. Agenda, according to Delta North APC chieftain, Chief Emmanuel Eboh.
Speaking at a media briefing in Abuja, Eboh said the Senator’s influence extends far beyond his legislative duties, noting that he is also deeply committed to the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope vision. He described Nwoko as a political figure who mobilises both personal resources and public goodwill to support progress at both state and national levels.
Eboh dismissed rumours of a rift between the governor and the senator, insisting their relationship is “long-standing, cordial, and mutually respectful.” Tracing their friendship back to the 1990s when Nwoko was practising law in London, he stressed that “both personalities are working together for the good of the state.”
He further emphasised that any counsel Nwoko has given the state government is rooted in good faith and aimed at improving governance, warning against “mischief and sycophancy” from individuals trying to score political points by twisting the senator’s advocacy.
Highlighting Nwoko’s political influence, Eboh referenced commentary by Channels TV’s Seun Okinbaloye, who noted the senator’s strong alignment with public opinion and his standing among opinion leaders.
He recalled that on June 14, 2025, Nwoko hosted at his Idumuje-Ugboko residence the first and most prominent APC endorsement of both President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori ahead of the 2027 elections — an event Eboh described as “a bold testament to Nwoko’s good intentions.”
“His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and Distinguished Senator Ned Nwoko are good friends,” Eboh affirmed. “That historic endorsement was a clear demonstration of unity and shared vision for Delta State’s future.”
