FG shortlists 18 directors for promotion as Permanent Secretaries

Following an ICT assessment, the Federal Government has selected 18 directors in the Federal Civil Service to proceed to the next stage in the selection of permanent secretaries.

Out of the 85 directors who were initially shortlisted for the written assessment, four did not show up.

Only 20 directors cleared the exam and qualified for the next stage, which was the ICT proficiency stage.

A memo from the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation dated November 7, 2023, stated that the 61 directors who flunked the examination scored less than 50 percent, which eliminated them from the contest.

“The 18 candidates listed below are invited to the oral interview stage of the process for the appointment of Permanent Secretaries in the Federal Civil Service based on their outstanding performance in Stages 1 and 2 of the exercise,” according to a memo by the OHCSF.
