“FCT Minister Warns Directors: Stop Sitting on Files and Expedite Projects”

the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has issued a stern warning to the Directors of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) to refrain from unnecessary bureaucratic practices that could hinder the timely execution of projects.

The warning comes as part of the Minister’s efforts to ensure the smooth and efficient development of the FCT.

During a press conference, Minister Wike emphasized the need for prompt action on all pending files and projects.

He highlighted the importance of timely approvals and due diligence in order to avoid unnecessary delays that could negatively impact the development of the FCT.

The Minister also expressed his concern about the potential for such delays to create a negative impact on the local communities, as they rely on these projects for their well-being and economic growth.

He stressed that any Director found to be sitting on files for extended periods would be considered a saboteur and would face appropriate consequences.

In a bid to streamline the approval process, Minister Wike set a deadline of seven days for the bureaucracy to complete the necessary due diligence once he has granted approvals.

This move is aimed at ensuring that projects are not unnecessarily delayed and that the contractors are not burdened with additional costs due to the slow pace of the bureaucracy.

As the FCTA continues to focus on the development of the FCT, it is crucial for all parties involved to work together in a timely and efficient manner.

This will not only help to expedite the completion of projects but also ensure that the residents of the FCT can benefit from the improved infrastructure and services.

the warning from the FCT Minister to the FCTA Directors serves as a reminder of the importance of prompt action and efficient processes in the development of the Federal Capital Territory.
