Fayose Criticizes Buhari’s Legacy: “Not a Blessing to Nigeria”

Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, criticized the legacy of former President Muhammadu Buhari, stating that he was “not a blessing to Nigeria.

” Fayose’s comments come amidst growing concerns over the country’s economic hardship and the challenges faced by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

Fayose accused the Buhari-led administration of destroying Nigeria’s economy and argued that there is little President Tinubu can do to revive the situation within nine months.

He also pointed out that the previous administration had taken loans with long moratoriums, which will burden future generations.

The former Governor urged President Tinubu to refrain from praising President Buhari, as it may confuse the Nigerian people about the “mess” created by the previous administration.

Fayose emphasized that while it is important for the President to show respect and appreciation for his predecessor, it is equally important to acknowledge the challenges that the country is currently facing.

Fayose’s criticism of President Buhari’s legacy has sparked a debate about the responsibility of political leaders in addressing Nigeria’s economic challenges.

As the country grapples with the aftermath of the previous administration’s policies, President Tinubu faces the daunting task of restoring economic stability and fostering growth.

Ayodele Fayose’s criticism of President Muhammadu Buhari’s legacy highlights the need for a comprehensive and transparent approach to addressing Nigeria’s economic challenges.

The debate surrounding the former President’s impact on the country underscores the importance of accountability and responsible governance in driving sustainable development and ensuring a better future for Nigeria.
