The controversial social media influencer, Martins Vincent Otse,  also known as VeryDarkMan, has lashed out at the presidency over an AI-generated audio clip. The outburst comes after officials vowed to prosecute him for allegedly sharing fake audio of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

An X user shared a post claiming the audio was used in one of VDM's videos. In the clip, a voice purporting to be Tinubu claimed insecurity would persist because Nigerians didn't vote for him in 2023.

VeryDarkMan responded with a video attacking presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga. He called the official "stupid" and "daft" in no uncertain terms.

"You are a very stupid old man," he said in the clip. "I'm not trying to insult you, but look at the meaning of stupid.

That's what you represent."

He went further with his criticism of the administration. "You are so daft, and this is the reason why I said President Tinubu should not come back in 2027 because all the people under him don't use their brains," he argued.

VeryDarkMan made clear he won't defend the controversial audio. "You see this audio, I will not defend it.

You no dey shame," he told Onanuga directly.

His anger shifted to the security crisis gripping Nigeria. He questioned why the presidency remained silent on recent kidnappings in Oyo State.

"Bandits went into a school in Oyo State, they carried three teachers and students," VeryDarkMan explained. "One of the teachers was backing an infant child, and days later, one teacher was beheaded."

He noted that the abducted victims remain missing even on Children's Day. "Those children are still in an unknown location.

Where is your comment on that?" he demanded of Onanuga.

VeryDarkMan dismissed believers of the audio as foolish. "It's only stupid people who will believe that video," he concluded.

The activist has become increasingly vocal about Nigeria's security challenges. His latest tirade reflects growing frustration among many Nigerians over the worsening kidnappings and banditry nationwide.
