The European American University has awarded the Commonwealth of Domonica Honorary doctorate degree on Public Administration and Leadership to Engr. Ekpedeme James Umoidem and other prominent Nigerians at Cyprian Ekwensi Centre for Arts and Culture in Abuja.
Umoidem, a certified COREN Engineer of Electrical/Electronics has a charming personality in the oil and gas sector haven ply his trade in the industry for years within and outside the shore of Nigeria and his sterling leadership qualities, his technicality and administrative prowess has always stand him out in the public and private organizations.
According to a statement from the institution,” Engr. Ekpedeme Umoidem was conferred with the honorary doctorate degree in recognition of his outstanding leadership achievements and contributions to tackling youth unemployment through the instrumentality of the ‘Key Maker Foundation,’ a non-profit organization.
“He has consistently funded for the purpose of empowering Nigerian youths and creating a critical mass of technologically and entrepreneurial qualified youths through his foundation”.
On his part, Umoidem expressed gratitude to the prestigious European-American University Commonwealth of Dominica for the honor bestowed on him and pledged not to disappoint the institution and those who nominated him for the award.
“I will continue to serve humanity and deploy his talents and resources to sustain the good work he is doing through his foundation.
He was quick to add a note of encouragement to Nigerian youths urging them to remain resilient and optimistic as they pursue their dream of a better life and a better Nigeria”. He promised.
