Buhari‘ll defeat Atiku says Egbo; drums support for Buhari’s re-election

A chieftain and candidate of the All Progressives Congress for Ughelli Constituency ll into the Delta State House of Assembly, Olorogun Jaro Egbo has said President Muhammadu Buhari will defeat Atiku Abubakar in the 2019 elections in South-South.

Egbo stated that despite the fact PDP controls more states in the region, APC has gained more grounds than in 2015 when Buhari lost to former President Goodluck Jonathan in the region and with the infrastructural development of the present administration, Buhari will confidently win in the region.

The APC candidate gave the assurance when his supporters hosted him on Monday in Ughelli following his emergence as the candidate of the party for Ughelli Constituency ll in the 2019 elections in the state.

Egbo, who is the Political Adviser to the Executive Director, Projects, Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Engr. Samuel Adjogbe, observed that the interventionist agency had performed better under Buhari’s government than previous administration.

He added that Buhari’s performance in the region in the last three years will give him victory over Atiku, saying that PDP is not as strong presently in the region following the defection of most of its members to the APC.

The APC chieftain stressed that the party will win the 2019 governorship election in Delta State, the three senatorial seats and two Ughelli l & ll seat into the state house of assembly, adding that the people were tired of the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa-led PDP government in the state.

According to him, “We have worked hard for this party (APC) and we know we are on ground, and we will bring positive changes to the people. All attempts to deny us the ticket failed and so, we our supporters got the news that I won the ticket of the party, they decided to arrange this victory party for me. You can see that the own town is happy and I know that I will win handsomely.

“APC is fully on ground in Delta State and South South. Every day, the party (APC) receives defections from PDP. We are not only going to win in Ughelli Constancy ll and Delta State; we are going to win in South South region for President Muhammadu Buhari. Buhari will defeat Atiku in South South in 2019. I can also assure you that Chief Great Ogboru is our next governor in Delta State.

“Buhari has done more than enough projects to campaign in this region. NDDC is also giving out scholarship and school uniforms to our students. These are practical changes that the people of the region have been yearning for. No amount of blackmail or propaganda can take away these solid projects that the FG is doing in our area.

“My position as the political adviser to Executive Director, Projects, NDDC, we have attracted   over 26 roads to only Ughelli metropolis. We are also constructing 26 schools also in Ughelli. Imagine what we are also doing in other parts of Delta State and the Niger Delta region through the help of Mr President.”
