Enugu APC Seeks Unity, Plans to Review Suspension and Expulsion of Prominent Members

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu State is focusing on unity and reconciliation as it plans to review the suspension and expulsion of prominent members.

Stakeholders in the party recently announced their intention to reintegrate members who were previously suspended or expelled, emphasizing the need for unity in the party.

The decision to review the suspension or expulsion of any member is contingent on their sincere repentance and abandonment of sabotage instincts, fifth columnism, anti-party acts, and all divisive actions.

The move is aimed at rebuilding the party and acknowledging that politics is a game of numbers, where every member is important for achieving success.

Notable members who were suspended or expelled from the party include former Senate President Ken Nnamani, former Minister of Foreign Affairs Geoffrey Onyeama, former Governor of the State Sullivan Chime, and former Speaker of the State Assembly Eugene Odoh.

The stakeholders unanimously passed a vote of confidence on the State Executive Committee (SEC) led by the State Chairman of the APC, Ugochukwu Agballah, and the leader of the Party in the state, Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Uchenna Nnaji.

The meeting served as a platform to reaffirm that the party at the state level is united with no factional divisions, and that the leadership of Agballah and Nnaji has been credited for the strategic enhancement of the party’s position within the state.

As the political landscape in Enugu State evolves, the APC’s focus on unity and reconciliation will be critical in strengthening the party and its position within the state.
